Abstract
This paper presents a study of the discovered stone vessels of the Achaemenid period. Most of these artefacts are the products of skillful stonemasons and were used in daily court life and specific ceremonies. This study introduces and describes 24 vessels in six groups in terms of their typology, material, kinds, and functions. The sample includes five stone mortars, six stone pestles, two stone scoops, six stone bottles, four stone vases, and one large drinking vessel.
