The Doshmanziari region in the suburbs of Nourabad in Mamasani County, in spite of its beautiful nature and proximity to Shiraz, has still remained unknown to others. This region abounds in several kinds of trees, plants, stones, minerals, and domestic animals. These blessings have made it possible for the locals to provide for their needsn their own environment and make the tools necessary for their life, such as khig, tavar, kenefter, shalangi, and band hasht dar hasht, themselves. These artifacts have various functions in farming, animal husbandry, and household chores. This study aimed to collect some data regarding the quality of the locals’conformity with the nature of this region followingthe descriptive field method (using interviews and taking pictures). The results of this study indicated that the local residents of Doshmanziari have always created some tools ofvarious functionswhichthey require for their daily life through benefitting from the diverse and rich nature of their own region. Consequently, it can be claimed that Doshmanziari is an invaluable living museum. The handicrafts of this place and the related professions are a part of the precious tangible cultural heritage of Iran and need to be protected and preserved.
