Persian is the only important language of the Iranian family of languages and, at the same time, one of the major and vastly spoken languages of the Islamic civilization alongside Turkish and Arabic. Iranians, Afghans, Tajiks, and many of the people in Samarkand and Bukhara in Uzbekistan and in some regions of the Caucasus, India, Pakistan, Bahrain, and Iraq can communicate and socialize with each through Persian. Accordingly, Persian plays two ″trans- ethnic″ and ″trans- regional″ roles, which demonstrate its significance in today’s world. Presently, several creative literary works are presented to the world in this language; moreover, Persian is the language of science and facilitates access to scientific findings for many countries and ethnic groups in the region. This language enjoys certain invaluable and functional potentials with respect to the convergence of countries in the realm of Nowruz, which could be employed as an efficient tool in the general diplomacy of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Here, following a descriptive method and employing some field studies, the author has examined the quality of the spread and presence of Persian in the above-mentioned geographical regions and provided some strategies for a more influential presence at the world level.
